Suncare SPF
Suncare SPF
Suncare is Skin Care especially if you love the outdoors.
Not all sunscreens are made the same. So how do you know what SPF is for you and safest? Understand what spf is and what is does and of course the ingredients.
There are 3 types of sunscreens; Mineral, Physical and Chemical
We only sell Mineral and Physical sunscreens as they are the safest and do not recommend chemical sunscreens. What's the difference?
Mineral and physical sunscreens contain zinc oxide or titanium dioxide and sit on top of the skin, creating a barrier that reflects UV rays. Chemical sunscreens absorb UV rays and convert them into heat. Sunscreen is meant to protect your skin from the sun, we do not want it absorbing into our skin.
What is SPF?
Sun protection factor (SPF): How long the sunscreen can protect you from sunburn before needing to be reapplied. The American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) recommends wearing a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher every day. So when you see that number next to your SPF that is telling you how many mins you have of protection before needing to reapply.
What else should you look for?
Broad spectrum coverage & Water-resistant protection
